What We Do

WCA specializes in relief work for individuals and communities who face with disasters or emergencies and climate changes. To fulfill this mission WCA under takes the following relief works:

  • Disaster Relief:  it is no hidden secret that hundreds of disasters occur each year around the world, causing enormous suffering, ruins and destructions or loss. In fact, it is believed that natural disasters kill on an average 60,000 per year globally. In view of that, your help is appreciated. We can respond to these disasters and save human lives and communities. Over the years, we have provided thousands for women, men and children in many countries with humanitarian aid and disaster response. Our disaster response focus on Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Humanitarian crisis, Disease outbreak, and civil conflicts.   In it all, when you give, you literally help WCA to provide immediate response and risk reduction activities

  • Medical Relief: The World Christian Aid (WCA) is a501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides health care services to under-served and vulnerable people around the world. We accomplish this mission through the efforts of qualified doctors, dental, surgical team and other health professionals on volunteer basis. At WCA, we believe that access to healthcare is a basic universal human right. We recruit qualified medical, dental, and surgical teams and offers short-term assignments for volunteer doctors, dentists, and other health care professionals as well as non-medical volunteers to conduct medical clinics in areas where medical care is limited or difficult to obtain.

  • Food Program/Feed the World: like medical care, access to food is a basic human right as well. WCA take pride in proving basic food items to needed persons. The world is facing an unparalleled food crisis mainly in developing countries. Your gift could make a difference between a child, mother, father or family going to bed on hungry or eating a notorious meal. No gift is too little when someone has nothing to eat. A lifesaving gift of $75 can provide a family with an emergency box, which contains adequate food for entire month.

  • Refugees Services: the number of refuges around the world is growing exponentially due to numerous crises of wars and natural disasters. Today, over 80 million people around the world have been forced to leave their homes. That number grows more than 37,000 each day.  In view of this, WCA offers numerous services to refugees because these new arrivals face with many challenges.

  • Immigration Services:  Immigrants face with numerous challenges. Some of the many challenges’ migrants face includes applying for naturalization, Green Car renewal, petition for alien relatives/Fiancé. Other service includes Affidavit of Support, application of Immigrant Visa, Adjustment of Status Renewal of Authorization Card, Marriage Registration and Visa to USA and Re-entry Permits and US citizenship preparation classes.

  • Climate Justice: The effect of climate change is real and on the increase. It is an emergency crisis, which needs emergency attention. It is believed that by 2030, 132 million people will be pushed into abject poverty by climate change. For WCA, climate justice is to enable the poorest and marginalized people and communities to improve their wellbeing and enjoy their human rights. At WCA, our goal is to work with poor and marginalized people to adapt capacities to build resilience to the effect of climate change by 2030. Having a healthy planet to live on is important. To achieve that, WCA aim to work with our well-positioned and experienced partners address climate justice through:

    1. Climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and management
    2. Sustainable agriculture
    3. Ecosystems and natural resource management

  • Education: children in poverty and disaster-stricken communities have no access and cannot afford education. In fact, education is often the first service to disappear in emergencies and last to resume. During crisis, the millions of children that are affected by them need immediate education support. Children in these conflicting or emergencies zooms are more than twice as likely to be out of school compared with those living non-conflict countries. Girls and refugees’ children have the even greater barriers to accessing education.

To help provide access to education; The Sawbo Home and Academy is undertaken as project.  The Sawbo Home and Academy is dedicated to providing a Christian environment for orphans and vulnerable children in the Pleebo community in Liberia is under both construction and renovation. The main building is under construction while the annex being renovated. This project is being constructed to provide quality Christian primary education to young girls and boys who are orphanage or who parents can not afford due to abject poverty.  Your gift of any amount will help provide a Christian home and education for these orphanage or poverty-stricken children so they might grow up to all God’s will like King David (Acts 13:22)
